Our Philosophy
Mount Hutt College is situated in the town of Methven in an idyllic location near the foot of the Mount Hutt skifield. As a school we build on the strengths of this community, as we encourage our students to be the very best that they can be in life, in whatever they do.
Our school motto, “Per Ardua ad Astra”, encapsulates this emphasis on excellence. Literally translated the motto means “Through hard work, reach for the stars.”
