Welcome to Mt Hutt College
Our high school is located in the small town of Methven, on the inland edge of the Canterbury Plains 90 kilometres outside the South Island’s largest city – Christchurch. We are the nearest high school to the popular Mt Hutt ski field and are also near the Rakaia River and inland lakes.
Mount Hutt College Methven is a co-educational state high school for both boys and girls. The school has students in Year 7 to Year 13 – ages 11 to 18 years old. It is a rural school of approximately 500 students with a caring family atmosphere and a proud record of academic, cultural and sporting excellence. We live in a beautiful part of the world with many outdoor experiences right on our doorstep.
