Learning at Mount Hutt College
In Years 7-10 students take a range of subjects which prepare them for the senior school where they start to select their subjects.
Mount Hutt College is a BYOD campus with wifi across the school site. 21st century learning is our emphasis with strong connections to the world around us ensuring relevance in learning. Practical fieldwork and interpersonal group skills are as important as theoretical learning.
In Years 11, 12 and 13 students study subjects from the New Zealand curriculum which are assessed for Levels 1, 2 and 3 of the National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA). Year 13 students also prepare for University Entrance and Scholarships examinations. See information on senior subjects here.
