Celebrating 100 years of secondary school education in Methven is for all current and past students, staff and parents. Everyone is welcome! 

For those travelling from outside the area then Methven Resort is the place to book accommodation. Contact them directly at 03 302 8724 or through their website https://methvenresort.com/ They are offering discounted rates for accommodation and breakfast - tell them you are attending the MHC Centennial and Richard and Sarah will take good care of you.

REGISTRATION

TIER ONE - $10  Join in our celebration, receive your centennial name tag at the registration tent.  Purchase memorabilia (in advance via the website or on the day if available) including the Centennial book.

TIER TWO - $50 Includes the name tag, Centennial goodie bag with a guaranteed Centennial book and some selected memorabilia, reserved seating for the official opening and welcome, and afternoon tea.

TIER THREE - $10 Evening Event hosted at Methven Resort. Purchase your food and drink from the bar, Alumni musicians perform.  Limited tickets are available.

If you wish to attend Tier Two and Tier Three (the whole day and into the evening) then please purchase these tickets separately. 

PROGRAMME - 25th April 2025

Before our event is the traditional ANZAC celebrations starting from the Arch at 9:15 am - Please join the school section in the Parade.

1 pm        Registration Tent Opens

•      School tours led by students begin (these run throughout the afternoon) 
•      Fundraising stalls
•      Memorabilia stalls
•      Quad entertainment - musical performances by current students
•      Library - quiet space, Afternoon tea for Tier 2 registered guests 
• Uniform display. Class photos and Magpie magazines are displayed.   
•      RiRa events Food Trucks and Bar (Basketball court)  
•      Magpie Cafe will be open for Coffee

2 pm         Official Opening and Welcome  

                 Concludes with Cake Cutting (youngest/oldest)

2:30 pm    Photos - Photofile

  Decade, staff, committee photos (runs all afternoon until approximately 5 pm)

3 pm         Tree Planting (Matai in Ecological garden)

                  Recollection interviews in the Quad

3:30 pm    Afternoon Tea (Tier 2 registrations)

4 pm         Time Capsule 

6 pm     Evening Event - 18+ adults only (Tier 3 registrations only) limited number at Methven Resort

     Alumni Musicians take the stage at 8pm - till late

Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th April - groups may want to get together for their own planned Reunion catchups. Methven Resort is more than happy to host your event. Contact them directly.
