Centennial 2025
Celebrating 100 years of secondary school education in Methven is for all current and past students, staff and parents. Everyone is welcome!
For those travelling from outside the area then Methven Resort is the place to book accommodation. Contact them directly at 03 302 8724 or through their website https://methvenresort.com/ They are offering discounted rates for accommodation and breakfast - tell them you are attending the MHC Centennial and Richard and Sarah will take good care of you.
REGISTRATION
TIER ONE - $10 Join in our celebration, receive your centennial name tag at the registration tent. Registrations accepted on the day. Purchase merchandise on the day including the Centennial book, Umbrella, Tea Towel, Centennial Badge, Cookies, Tote bags, Hoodie and Polo shirt (order on the day).
TIER TWO - SOLD OUT
TIER THREE - $10 Evening Event hosted at Methven Resort. Purchase your food and drink from the bar, Alumni musicians perform. Limited tickets are available.
If you wish to attend Tier One and Tier Three (the whole day and into the evening) then please purchase these tickets separately.
PROGRAMME - 25th April 2025
9am: Methven ANZAC morning celebrations, meet at the Memorial Arch to join the school on marching to the Memorial Hall
1pm: REGISTRATION tent opens (Tier 1 & Tier 2) front field

2pm: MIHI WHAKATAU - School Hall, followed by Afternoon Tea (Tier 2)

4.15pm: TREE PLANTING - Ecological Garden

6pm: ALUMNI MUSICIANS - Methven Resort (Tier 3)
Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th April - groups may want to get together for their own planned Reunion catchups. Methven Resort is more than happy to host your event. Contact them directly.

Centennial Project - Hall Stage Curtains Replacement
To celebrate 100 years of Secondary Education at Mount Hutt College 1925 - 2025, the Centennial Project is to replace the MHC Hall Stage Curtains.
The current stage curtains are well past their used-by-date.
MHC Centennial Committee is seeking any donations towards this project, if you would like to get involved please contact the office: [email protected] or make a donation.
