Our PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is a group of parents and staff who offer support to the school and wider school community.
Our objectives are to:
- Encouraging family involvement
- Connect families to each other and the school
- Helping families access information and assistance in Mid-Canterbury.
- Support whānau and the school to improve access to opportunities and facilities for students.
The PTA supports the school, students, and whānau in a range of ways. They participate in large fundraising activities, provide people-power at events such as the Ice Cream Social and Open Day, and communicate with the school’s leadership team on the direction of the school.
The PTA meets monthly in the school staffroom to keep in touch with what is happening at school and discuss how they can support. Dates are on the school calendar and advertised when possible via our Facebook page.
From 2025, the PTA will collect donations from whānau of $10 per whānau per year (charged to the eldest student in each whānau at the beginning of each school year).
Please note these are donations, and are therefore optional, so can be removed by request to the office contact. Please contact [email protected] or 03 302 8437. Our main financial commitments are to projects the PTA partners with the school on, however, each month we have a small amount of money to put towards various requests we receive at our discretion. Please download and complete the form for making such requests, and send it to [email protected]
For more information, please join us at our next meeting, or see our constitution.
