A wider community consultation across 2020 and 2021 supported the Board of Trustees to shape up a wider vision for our kura that focuses explicitly on developing:

  • Our People- Ō mātou tāngata
    by connecting them to
  • Our Place- Ō mātou whenua

Our vision of growing our learners through their connection to our place has been weaved into our existing curriculum and is a key driver influencing curriculum change across our school.

Both the vision itself, and the journey to shape it, are unpacked in greater detail in our Charter and Strategic Plan as well as our consultation summary. Links for both of these documents are available on this page.

Two of the key foundations underpinning our wider vision are a focus on student agency and choice, across our school, and collaboration. This focus is illustrated in one of our key school whakatauki.

He mahi toa takitini, te pikinga ki te tihi maunga, ehara i te toa takitahi.

Reaching the summit of the mountain is not the work of one climber but rather the work of many, working together in collaboration.
