Methven, a place I am proud to call home, and the best place to bring up my family. Myself and my husband Brett were both born and bred here, we both attended Methven Primary and Mt Hutt College.
We have four children that all attend Mt Hutt College with our three youngest still attending.
My passion has always been around children and their development and love for life so I trained and became a fully qualified Early Childhood Teacher joining Methven Pre School in 1990 and now hold the job share Managers position.
I joined the BOT last year and have the role of helping out with policies and procedures, from my time on the board it is evident that we have an amazing team with a vast array of skills that are focused and driven to support the Principal and Staff to have the best school possible, this then enables our tamariki to have the best learning environment and opportunities.
Outside of the BOT my husband and I are part owners of our transport business Methven Trucking, I am a Volunteer/Casual EMT ambulance officer for St John Methven, and I am also currently coaching a team for the Methven Netball Club. I feel that we are very lucky to have such an amazing area, location and community to live in and we are so fortunate to have such an awesome school that is passionate about the future of our tamariki.
