Learning Areas

Student well-being and success is at the heart of the Learning Support department and all our strategies and interventions have this in mind.

The Learning Support Co-ordinator and staff work with ākonga and whānau to develop solutions for those students who have barriers to learning.

These solutions range from accessing support through outside agencies to working with students on an individualised learning programme in school.

The Learning Support Co-ordinator identifies learning needs and makes suggestions for follow-up with parents. There are several intervention programmes available depending on student needs.
