It has been a pleasure and a privilege to be named one of the Head Students for 2025 and I can already tell that our hopes are high for an amazing year!
I like to think that any experience is an opportunity to learn; however, I am quite partial to reading any and all books, revisiting our beautiful maunga every snow season with my skis, as well as being a part of Denrai Taekwondo for the last 8 years here in Methven.
Throughout my years at school I have been involved in many different groups such as peer support, I’m a proud Cultural Committee member of two years, as well as being a part of the Blue House captain team of 2024. All of these experiences have helped to develop my skills in leadership that will help me to achieve my goals in our centennial year.
The incredible environment that we live in is wholeheartedly reflected through Mount Hutt College. I love that Mount Hutt constantly works towards student involvement and to be surrounded with opportunity. We may be small but we are indeed mighty. It has been the space that has allowed me to be myself and to enjoy the things I love with the many amazing people I have met through my seven years. My aspirations for 2025 is to ensure that all students are getting the most they can out of their time out of school. I believe that positivity and kindness go a long way and I hope to elevate that through uplifting every student's unique passions and diversity within our kura.
