Lucas Plimmer

Head Student

People always ask me "what's it like being a Hospital Receptionist?" or "which way to the psychiatric ward?", and to them I say "No Ill Feeling to you, but I have unfortunately stepped out of that position".

Kia ora! Ko Lucas tōku ingoa. Having spent my entire life in the same house on the same street in little old Methven, I can confidently say that there is no way I would've rather had it.

Music is my biggest passion; I’ve played the piano for eight years and the clarinet for four years. I am involved with several school bands, and always enthusiastically encourage those seeking a hobby to pick up an instrument.

I am also a keen actor, and will have been in four school productions by the end of 2025. Those who went to see the masterpiece "No Ill Feeling" of 2024 will understand my reference in my introduction.

The students and staff at Mount Hutt College is what I love most about our school. Everyone knows everyone, and those who we don't know, we welcome in with open arms. Inclusion, cooperation, and having fun are my main goals for 2025. My predecessor, Will Murphy, pioneered a successful Interhouse Arts Competition which I am excited to continue. I am also extremely excited about the Centennial Events on ANZAC Day, considering I am the 4th generation in my family to attend MDHS/MHC.
