Jordan Imms-Protheroe
As the only Head Student for 2025 that has not been born and raised within the Methven Community, Mount Hutt College has been a welcoming bridge to the vibrant and inclusive culture this little town represents. Our school showcases the absolute best within every individual who passes through its gates, and as a student leader during Mount Hutt’s centennial year, I want to help ensure every student shines their brightest.
I’m hoping that anyone who reads my bio knows that my name is Jordan. If not, I’m the “tall one”. I’m loud, opinionated, have no shame (ask my friends) and I am an avid reader/hopeless romantic. In my spare time I enjoy the freedom of theatre and the quietness of sitting apart and reading a juicy book, or making people laugh…. I quite like doing that.
Over my time at MHC I have been involved in every production since 2021, joined every possible music related student group, and spent time as a member of both the Academic and Social Committee. As a Head Student for 2025 I want to be able to shine a light on student-led groups that make a significant contribution within the school but perhaps don’t have as much recognition as they deserve. I plan to be a vessel for the student voice and allow my fellow learners to be heard.
