Ko Ōpuke te maunga, ko Rakaia te awa, ko waikawa te mārae, ko Ngāti Hine toku iwi. Ko Saxon tōku ingoa whānau, ko Jack tōku ingoa, kei Methven tōku turangawaewae. Ko au te tumuaki o te kura tuarua o Ōpuke.
It has been my absolute privilege to be Principal of Mount Hutt College since Term 4 of 2019.
Prior to commencing my role at Mount Hutt College, I was Principal of Kaitaia College for five years. I have also worked in senior and middle leadership roles at Queen Charlotte College in Picton, Nelson College and have worked internationally in both Jordan and Syria.
This range of educational experiences have helped shape a team oriented philosophy focussed on working with our school community to ensure that all of our learners have a pathway to success at school that develops the whole person - mind, body and spirit.
Central to our focus on developing the whole learner is leveraging our amazing outdoor environment and providing opportunities for our learners to grow by connecting to what is a very special place.
Nā to rourou, nā taku rourou, ka ora ai te tamariki ~ With your basket and our basket our children will thrive.
