Mount Hutt College Cross Country 2024
The Mount Hutt College Cross-Country Championships will be run on Wednesday 1st May. Individual
‘placings’ competed for with the overall event being an inter house competition. All finishers earn points
for their ‘house’. Trophies and certificates will be awarded at the next full school Monday assembly. We
will be recording the Top 6 finishers names and house.
This year we are running this event as optional – those who opted to not sign up in class will have an
alternative programme at school. There is NO Active MHC for week 1.
Running gear includes suitable footwear, the P/E sports top for all Year 7-13 students. Pupils should come
prepared for cold weather also.
School Timetable: P1-P4 as per usual timetable. Second lunch 1:30pm with a 2pm race start. All students
and staff to be at back field (staff at duty locations) by 2:00pm for Cross Country programme as below.

Starting times -
- Year 9 &10 boys 2pm
- Year 11 &12/13 boys 2:05pm
- Year 7 & 8 boys 2:10pm
- Year 7 & 8 girls 2:15pm
- Year 9 &10 girls 2:20pm
- Year 11 & 12/13 girls 2:25pm
Please note even though they are all running together the age groups are as follows for placings/champs:
-Year 7 girls -Year 10 girls
