Yr 13 Leadership Camp
The year thirteen’s at our kura had the opportunity to attend a leadership camp at the start of the year to uphold our leadership skills and to also set new goals to aim for as a cohort.
The camp is overnight from the 5th - 6th of January, which allows us students to maintain a stable bond between our year group before the school year begins. It also allows for us to do a 5am bootcamp together the following day which most of us definitely loved.
The activities that were held at camp were based around strengthening leadership and organisation throughout all the year 13 students. Some activities were led by us head students, which gave us the chance to create a bond with the members of our year, and not feel held back when it comes to us leading our peers.
It was incredible to see how students who wouldn’t have thought they were a leader type of person, had gotten inspired from the teachings and the activities that were held at the camp.
We thank all the staff that were involved and made it happen for all of us, it has for sure been an amazing start of the year for all of us.
