Cricket 1st XI Gillette Cup
On Monday 17th Feb, our 1st XI boys cricket team went down to Ashburton to play against Ashburton College 1st XI in the Gillette Cup series. We had a pretty young team this year but they definitely stood their ground.
We had some stand out performances with the bat, especially with the combo of Ryan Richan (Captain) hitting 62 off 90 and Jake Richan hitting 18 off 44, it was fantastic to watch them work together.
Bowling performances saw Ryan taking 3 wickets and Charlie King taking 4.
Couldn't be more proud of the boys, even though we didn't get the win we definitely had some moments where Ashburton were worried - Ryan Richan, Finn McGrath, Pat Johnson, Charlie King, Jake Richan, Matthew Ramsey-Turner, Blake Marett, Flynn Whittaker, Izaac Bruce, Conor McGrath and Liam Clark
