NCEA Literacy / Numeracy Parent Evening

On Tuesday 1st April at 7pm in the MHC hall we will be holding an information evening regarding the literacy and numeracy requirements for NCEA. This is particularly relevant for any parents/caregivers of students in Year 10, who will sit their literacy and numeracy tests this year, as well as whānau of students aiming for their literacy/numeracy in Years 11-13. All students in New Zealand must get their literacy and numeracy in order to earn an NCEA qualification.
This evening will include information regarding:
- what the literacy/numeracy requirements are
- how the co-requisite tests work and what they look like
- pathways for students to meet the literacy/numeracy requirements
- how whānau can see if their child has literacy/numeracy
- tips for home
