Young Enterprise Scheme’s Entrepreneurs In Action
Seb Booth was selected among 65 other people for the Young Enterprise Scheme’s Entrepreneurs In Action Weekend in Wellington. The trip took place from the 4th to the 7th July, and Seb was partnered with Team One New Zealand.
I had an absolute blast! EIA Weekend consisted of two business challenges. Each challenge had specific criteria to be met and was to be showcased through a business plan and a pitch to judges. We had 10 hours to complete our first challenge, and another 10 hours to complete our second challenge. Our team came in third place in the first challenge!
One of the challenges involved creating a sustainable business model for a new product. Our team brainstormed, debated, and finally came up with a unique solution that impressed the judges. I was in charge of the marketing strategy, which was intense but incredibly rewarding at the end. It was an action-packed and intense trip, leaving me pretty exhausted by the end of it, but I learned so much about business during this awesome time. The opportunity to network and collaborate with other Young Enterprise teams and businesses from all over the country was invaluable.
This experience not only sharpened my entrepreneurial skills but also reaffirmed my confidence in pursuing future endeavours.
