ASSS Golf Champs
There were 7 Festival Grade (non-competitive) golfers that competed in one group of three and one group of four, and two Competitive players.
The Festival Grade groups played 9 holes in an Ambrose Format. The team of four that consisted of Mackenzie Currie, Kaidyn Broomhall, Blake Marett and Izaac Bruce who shot 42 which is a good score as these golfers are all working hard to get their handicaps to play competitive golf.
In the group of three which consisted of Tyler Maher, Diego Sungahid and Wynter Taylor-Harding played well and played 18 holes together. They shot 70 which is 1 under par which is a very impressive effort.
In the competitive golf there was Charlie King and Finn McGrath. Charlie King started out rough making a couple doubles but managed to pull it back half way and ended the round with a good score of 101. Finn McGrath started off well being one over through four but struggled to get anything going after the turn. He struggled with the putter but at the end of the day he finished with a score of 84. Finn McGrath finished in an equal for 6th place and Charlie King finished in 34th out of 51.
It was a great day out and a big thank you from all the players to Mr Tantau and to all the people that organised the event.
