Market Day

Market Day

On Friday, 28 March, students from Years 10 to 13 put their entrepreneurial skills to the test at Market Day. Working in teams, they developed product ideas, created their goods, and tackled important financial aspects such as working out their cost per unit and profit forecasting. Along the way, they practiced essential skills in teamwork, communication, problem-solving, negotiation and creativity.

The event was a resounding success, with over 100 students participating and a fantastic turnout of students keen to buy. It was wonderful to see some parents attending to support the students, adding to the positive atmosphere.

The variety of products on offer was impressive, ranging from perfume roll-ons, delicious toffees, and fudge to handmade polymer clay and crochet keychains, bracelets, and custom-painted caps. Food lovers were spoiled for choice with a huge range of food, including cookies, sushi, pies, burgers, milkshakes, and even ice cream sundaes served in edible cups.

The enthusiasm and effort of all involved made Market Day a memorable and rewarding experience. A huge congratulations to the students for their hard work and creativity, and a big thank you to everyone who came along to support them.
