Opuke Observations'
During the first few weeks of 2024, already so much has happened and so many achievements have been made.
We would first like to acknowledge the achievements of the MTB Champs, MHC Volleyball team and Aoraki Athletics which had some superb results over the last week and we couldn’t be more proud of the students for giving it their all.
Another congratulations goes to our Y13 PE class for completing their overnight stay up Pinnacles Hut. It was hard work but there were plenty of laughs and some great memories made. A big thanks to all the staff for organising these trips where the students had a great time.
Some of the committees have also been getting busy this last week with the Cultural Committee organising the St Patrick's Day Scavenger Hunt which brought lots of attention and was heaps of fun. The Sports Committee has started the use of the new table tennis tables this week and will have a house event for the remaining weeks of the term to get people interested in the sport.
The final event was the Ice Cream Social held by the Social Committee which had a fantastic turnout of students, staff and parents which helped everyone to get to know each other better and it was a great afternoon.
