Disc Golf

Today Ewan, Sebastion and Tamara came to teach year eight about disc golf. They came from Christchurch Disc Golf Club and Sebastion is a professional Disc Golf Player.
During Manaki Stars they talked to us about how we might get a disc golf course at the school or around Methven. We discovered that Sebastion plays in professional tournaments in New Zealand and has also played in America.
During P.E. lessons they taught us how to hold and throw the discs the right way. We also learned what kinds of discs we might use and what their purpose is. We had fun throwing discs into temporary baskets they had set up for the day and we now have some good ideas for our disc golf project. (watch this space!)
