Cancer Society - Daffodil Day

Daffodil Day

The Year 13's have decided that they will complete multiple fundraising activities for the Cancer Society on Daffodil day, such activities include…

Thursday 29th August, the whole school will have a YELLOW mufti day for a $2 coin donation towards our school fundraising page https://daffodilday.org.nz/o/mount-hutt-college which we have a goal of $4000 to raise this year! On that same Thursday, there will be an opportunity for all students to pie a Year 13 student in the face with whipped cream for a donation, we will also have music, bake sales and much more happening at school.

Don't forget to bring lots of coins so you can participate in all these fun activities on Thursday the 29th of August.

On Friday the 30th August (Daffodil Day!) The Year 13 students will be spin biking in the community at the Mt Hutt Memorial Hall for 8 hours straight! This bike is to represent how long a Kiwi cancer patient could be in a chemotherapy treatment. The students want to make this as much a community event as possible as we how important the cause is to Methven. So come down and show your support they will be riding from 2 pm all the way until 9 pm.

At 5 pm on Friday 30th August, some students will also be partaking in the cause of Shave for a Cure, make sure to keep up to date on our school socials to see the profiles of the young students shaving or chopping their hair. This will be also held at the memorial hall.

Our Year 13 cohort is very passionate about our fundraiser this year as it means a lot to all of us.

We would love your support by coming along and donating through our school fundraising page https://daffodilday.org.nz/o/mount-hutt-college
