Country High Schools Music Festival

On Friday, March 22nd, 30 Mount Hutt College musicians ranging from Year 8 to 13 travelled to Lincoln High School to take part in the Country High Schools Music Festival, a long-running regional event that hasn't happened in a few years due to Covid.
Students spent the day in rehearsals and workshops run by the itinerant teachers of Forte, with the day culminating in an evening concert that whānau was welcome to attend. Performing at the concert was the Beginner Band, String Group, Choir and Concert Band, along with a guest performance by the Canterbury Cello Group.
This event was a rich musical experience for all who participated, and the MHC musicians represented their school and their community with PRIDE!
