Swimming Championships

On Weds 27th March we had 6 MHC students represent not only the school but the Mid Canterbury region for the Canterbury Primary Swimming Sports in Rolleston.
Well done to Isabella Barlass, Halo Cooksley, Anna Costello, Abbie Heneghan, Euclid Kidayan and James McNally for all qualifying for this event. A special congratulations to James McNally who placed 2nd in the 100m Year 8 Boys Backstroke - Ka Pai James!
We also had 3 students represent the senior school at the Canterbury Secondary Schools Swim Champs on Thurs 4th April. It was a great day with some very competitive swimming! Congratulations to Bree Muir on her great efforts in the open age events and to Jasmine Chalke who placed 3rd in the 14yr 100m Free and Connor Jenkins who did a fantastic swim placing 1st in the 14yr 50m Breaststroke.
Aoraki Swimming is held in Term 2 so keep an eye out for plenty of MHC results from this event. Students competing in this will be emailed later this week.
