Day 1 : Isabella Barlass and Stephanie Lill competed today as our first ever MHC Dance Duo, with their lyrical “Shallow”. They placed 2nd in their category for Year 7 & 8. Well done girls. Bring on day 2 tomorrow with all three teams competing in the Christchurch competition.
Day 2 : Wow what a day! We had three teams entered this year: a year 7/8 team performing a jazz dance 'To kill the Lights', a year 9/10 team performing a jazz dance to 'Rumour Has It', and a senior team with three year 10s preforming contemporary hip hop to 'Mamma Mia'. The girls all did an amazing job. They had dance workshops throughout the day, and then performed at night. The senior team placed 4th over all in the senior category of 14 other teams! We left MHC at 7:20am and arrived home at 11:40pm. Words can’t describe how proud of all the teams we are. Well done!
