Daffodil Day Fundraiser

The Year 13s at Mount Hutt College have done it again!
This year their Daffodil Day fundraiser was epic, consisting of a multi-faceted approach to raise as much money as they could for The Cancer Society. It's a cause near and dear to a lot of hearts, and something that touches each and every one of us in some way. Students ran a raffle, with prefects and the office selling tickets, a non-uniform day, a bake sale, laser cut daffodils for the front fence, and lunch time events at school including 'Pie a Year 13'. Multiple students volunteered to don the ponchos for a plate of cream to the face.
This year, they biked continually for six hours outside Garage Gym (a massive thank you to them for the loan of their space and bikes again this year!) and a range of Year 13s either shaved their heads or chopped their hair to raise money (thank you to Mary for volunteering her time). The vibe of the day was colourful, cheerful and full of energy. The school was bathed in yellow in support for The Cancer Society and the work they do.
We would like to extend our thanks again to the businesses who sponsored the students and their biking for their very generous donations. The list of businesses can be found attached. We have an amazing group of students in our Year 13 cohort, and a hugely supportive community.
Thank you to everyone who donated, bought raffle tickets and baking, ordered daffodils for the front fence and cheered on our students.
