Can Drive Article
From the end of Term 3 through to the second week of Term 4, the Service Committee ran a House Colour Can Drive Competition, encouraging students to get involved and support a great cause.
The competition saw students collect cans for their house, with every donation contributing towards helping those in need in our local community. After an exciting few weeks of collecting, the final house totals were:
🥇 Gold – 42 cans
🥈 Blue – 35 cans
🥉 Green – 32 cans
Red – 21 cans
A huge congratulations to Gold House for taking out the win! Together, Mount Hutt College managed to collect an incredible 130 cans.
All of the donated cans will be given to the Ashburton Salvation Army Foodbank, helping support local families and individuals in need.
A massive thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this competition a success. It is awesome to see our school community coming together to make a difference!
