Dance NZ Made
MHC Dance competed at Dance NZ Made on Sunday and Monday.
On Sunday Gia Song competed in the year 7 solo category, Farrah Wilson in the year 8 solo category. We had two year 7/8 duos Lottie Church and Sadie Wilson, Emily Glass and Lucy Bayley. Isabella Barlass competed in the year 9 solo category and Maddie Deller in the year 11 solo category.
On Monday we have a very early 6:30am start to make it to Christchurch town hall for our first workshop. Our day was lots of fun, full of lots of dancing. It was a very long day. We had two teams enter. A year 7/8 team dancing to “These Boots”, a very sassy jazz and a senior team dancing to another very sassy jazz “ Poker face”. We arrived back at Mount Hutt College at 1am on Tuesday morning.
Unfortunately Mount Hutt College didn’t place in the top three in any of our categories this year. We are up against some very talented dancers. All of the MHC dancers danced their hearts out.
Well done MHC dancers!
